Every system your business runs depends on a cable somewhere. We design and install properly documented networks that perform, and move whole offices without losing a working day.
Network infrastructure is the physical and wireless foundation that connects your business: structured cabling, fibre links, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi access points and internet connections.
When it’s well designed, staff get fast, reliable access to files, cloud apps and phones. When it isn’t, you get Wi-Fi dropouts and trailing cables across the office floor.
Future-ready data cabling rated for 10Gbps, installed to standard, tested and labelled.
Fibre links between floors, buildings and comms cabinets where copper can't reach or keep up.
Centrally managed access points designed around your floor plan, with seamless roaming. [CONFIRM: vendor]
Business-grade switches that separate staff, guest, phone and CCTV traffic for performance and security.
Internet access for visitors, kept completely apart from your business network.
Tangled cabinets rebuilt with proper cable management, labelling and documentation.
We design excellent wireless networks, but we still believe there’s no substitute for a cable when a cable can be used. Desks, meeting room screens, printers and phones perform more reliably when wired, which leaves your Wi-Fi free for laptops and mobile devices. Already have cabling in the wrong places? We can often relocate network points rather than recable the whole office.
| CAT6 | CAT6a | |
|---|---|---|
| Maximum speed | 10Gbps up to about 55m, 1Gbps to 100m | 10Gbps up to 100m |
| Bandwidth | 250MHz | 500MHz |
| Interference protection | Good | Better, especially in dense cable runs |
| Best for | Smaller offices with modest needs | New installations expected to last 10+ years and modern Wi-Fi access points |
For most new office installations, we recommend CAT6a.
An office move is the easiest time to get your network right, and the easiest time to get it wrong. We plan the IT side of your relocation from the first viewing to the first morning in your new space, so your team logs in and gets straight to work.
Day-one support: engineers on site as staff arrive to deal with anything unexpected.
We visit the new premises before you sign, checking cabling, comms space and broadband.
Broadband or leased lines ordered early, as installs can take weeks or longer.
Cabling, cabinets, Wi-Fi and firewall installed and tested before move day.
Servers, desks and devices moved and reconnected, usually over a weekend.
Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire have plenty of businesses in converted barns and rural units where standard broadband falls short. We’ve solved connectivity for clients that the big providers couldn’t help.
Both support 10Gbps, but CAT6 only reaches that speed over shorter runs of around 55 metres, while CAT6a supports 10Gbps over the full 100 metres with better protection from interference. CAT6a is the better choice for new offices.
Ideally as soon as you start viewing premises. New business internet connections can take several weeks, and leased lines can take months, so early planning prevents moving into an office with no internet.
Yes. We can schedule installation work in the evening or at weekends to avoid disrupting your team. [CONFIRM]
Wi-Fi 6 handles many devices at once far better than older standards, which matters in offices with laptops, phones and meeting room screens all connected. If you're replacing access points, Wi-Fi 6 or newer is the sensible choice.
Yes. We regularly rebuild cluttered comms cabinets with proper cable management, labelling and documentation, which makes future faults far quicker to find.
A managed switch is a business network device that can be configured and monitored, allowing traffic to be separated into secure segments, prioritised for phones and video calls, and checked remotely by engineers.
